Update from Maine: 100 Miles to Go

The Freehold hikers we featured in a slideshow last week are closing in on the end of the Appalachian trail.

Danny Robertson called from Monson, Maine to report that the guys have just over 100 miles of hiking left before they reach the final summit of Katahdin. They're about to enter the 100 Mile Wilderness where they'll have little contact with the outside world, but after about 8 more days, the boys will finish their five-month journey.

"We're looking forward to the last few days here," Danny said. "Then our parents will come up to meet us in Portland and we get to come home soon."

Good luck, guys!
