CentraState Offers Free Mammograms for Uninsured

As the national healthcare debate rages on, our own local medical center will offer free preventitive care to the uninsured. This October, CentraState Women's Health Center and the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey will offer free mammograms to women without health insurance.

"No woman should be left behind during these difficult economic times," said Mandi Wortman, director, Radiology Services. The free service will be offered in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Patients must be between 18 and 64, live in Monmouth County, and satisfy certain income guidelines which can be obtained from the hospital.

For dates and other information about the free mammogram program, call (732) 294-2626.
