Freehold Township College Student Dies in Crash

A 22-year-old from Freehold Township was killed last week in an early-morning car crash in Bethlehem, PA.

Chad Michael Horne, 22, of Freehold Township, died Thursday in a car accident in Bethlehem, PA.

Chad Michael Horne, a Freehold High School graduate and a student at Brookdale Community College, was in a car with two women, Robin Villegas, 52, of Staten Island, N.Y.; and Terri Buskirk, 43, of Bethlehem, that collided with a pick-up truck around 12:05 AM last Thursday.

All three people in the car died in the crash; the driver of the truck was taken to the hospital. Horne was the driver of the car, according to the Bethlehem-area The Morning Call newspaper. The road where the crash occurred was known for frequent accidents, according to the report.

Police are still investigating the crash and looking for witnesses.

According to the obituary, Horne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Freehold, where he served on the worship committee, was a youth group member, attended Sunday School, and participated in the 30 Hour Famine program, and a member of the Campus Crusade for Christ at Brookdale College.

Chad had completed an internship at Disney World and was planning to return there to provide excellent guest services. He was employed at Wegman's, Manalapan for the past six years.
