Freehold police release sketch of burglary suspect
Police have released a composite sketch of the man they say burglarized a home in the Longview development last month.
Police said a deliveryman brought a package to the home around 2:15 p.m. Dec. 16, but the man refused to sign for it, saying he was working at the house, stacking wood.
Police later determined the home's electric meter had been tampered with and power to the house was cut.
A small black pick-up truck, possible a Ford Ranger, had been parked in the driveway of the home, between County Road 537 and Burlington Road, according to Detective George A. Burdge III.
The burglar was described as a white man, between the ages of 28- and 32-years-old. He had a medium build, weighed between 150 and 160 pounds, was between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, and had dark-colored hair and a medium complexion.
Anyone with information about the cases is asked to call Burdge at 732-462-7908 ext. 3106.

Hey Mike, good question. It’s because the Township computer system is being upgraded and won’t be able to generate reports for us until next month. We can pick up the indictables from the County Prosecutor to go through the Township’s records, but we haven’t been able to arrange that yet with the Prosecutor’s Office.. The folks at FTPD assure us that their computer system will be up and running in early 2010, so either way, we’ll go back to publishing both blotters very soon.
