Freehold police release sketch of burglary suspect

Police have released a composite sketch of the man they say burglarized a home in the Longview development last month.

Police said a deliveryman brought a package to the home around 2:15 p.m. Dec. 16, but the man refused to sign for it, saying he was working at the house, stacking wood.
Police later determined the home's electric meter had been tampered with and power to the house was cut.

Freehold Twp. police probing daytime home burglaries

Police are investigating two daytime burglaries in Freehold Township, including one case in which power to a home was cut.

On Monday, the frame of a rear door was shattered at a secluded home on Georgia Road, police said. Jewelry was stolen from that home, near the Levitt development, according to Detective George A. Burdge III.

Police Blotter 12/5 – 21: Drug Bust & Burglary

CONOVER STREET: Borough residents Oscar Lazogarcia, 24, Gustavo Lopez, 21, and Angel Mendoza-Mejia, 29 were charged Dec. 4 with possession of cocaine and over 50 grams of marijuana, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute in a school zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute. Patrolman James Richmond and Detective Chris Otlowski made the arrests.

INSTITUTE STREET: Borough man Julian Arango, 40 was charged Dec. 5 by Patrolman Sam Hernandez with driving while intoxicated.

Update: More Details on Wanted Burglar in Manalapan

This morning's attempted burglary in a Manalapan Township home occurred while a teenage student was home sick from school, according to a report from the APP. The student called the police while locked inside the bathroom, and her mother notified a neighbor who helped scare away and then chase the suspect.

He is described as an older, white, heavy-set man, who wore a red shirt and may have been wearing a red hat. He was last seen driving a white, 2003 Pontiac sedan with a Pennsylvania license plate: DXB 4345, police said.Just before 9:45 a.m., the teen, who was home sick, heard a knock at her front door, but did not answer it, police said.

Breaking News: Suspect Wanted for Attempted Burglary

An attempted burglary in Manalapan Township this morning has police searching the area for a wanted suspect.

A heavyset white male wearing a red jacket tried to enter the back door of a home on Belaire Lane in the Township early this morning. He is driving a 2003 white Pontiac Grand-Am with PA plates.
